About us

Welcome to our home.

It was a cold and wet November day in 2003 when we first visited Tracey Mill in Honiton. We were living in an old farmhouse in Somerset that we had renovated over a number of years and Clive was within a few years of retirement. Looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to run our own business, we came to visit the mill where the previous owners were running the premises as a small trout farm.

We immediately fell in love with the property and saw the potential to develop it into a comfortable home whilst retaining the integrity of the ancient building.

Angie and I continued to run the farm together and built up a reputation for high quality fresh and smoked trout products which we sold at local Farmer’s Markets across Devon and Somerset.

Our first Bed & Breakfast guests arrived during 2008 and we finally closed the farm in the spring of 2011 to concentrate on developing the accommodation side of Tracey Mill. Our ethos is a simple one - providing quality accommodation in a relaxed and welcoming environment. One guest summed this up by saying:-

“We came as guests and left as friends and we will be back.”

We look forward to sharing our home with new friends we have yet to meet.
